Blanche of Artois
Blanche of Artois was a French noblewoman born around 1250. She was the daughter of Robert II of Artois and Matilda of Brabant. In 1262, she married Henry I of Navarre, becoming Queen of Navarre. After her husband's death in 1274, she played a significant role in the politics of the region.
Blanche was known for her strong leadership and influence. She served as regent for her son, Theobald II of Navarre, and worked to maintain stability in her kingdom. Her legacy includes her efforts to strengthen the ties between Navarre and France.
