Blackbuck
The Blackbuck is a species of antelope found primarily in the Indian subcontinent. Known for its striking appearance, males have long, spiral horns and a distinctive black and white coloration, while females are lighter brown. They inhabit grasslands and open forests, where they graze on grasses and herbs.
Blackbucks are social animals, often seen in herds led by a dominant male. They are known for their incredible speed, capable of running up to 80 kilometers per hour (50 miles per hour) to escape predators. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their habitats and populations, which have declined due to hunting and habitat loss.
