Bikram Yoga
Bikram Yoga is a style of hot yoga developed by Bikram Choudhury in the 1970s. It consists of a series of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, practiced in a room heated to approximately 105°F (40°C) with 40% humidity. The heat is intended to promote flexibility, detoxification, and cardiovascular health.
Classes typically last 90 minutes and follow a set sequence, allowing practitioners to develop strength and balance over time. Bikram Yoga is often praised for its physical benefits, but it may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain health conditions. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program.
