Beta Pictoris System
The Beta Pictoris System is a star system located about 63 light-years away in the constellation Pictor. It is known for its bright star, Beta Pictoris, which is a young A-type main-sequence star, approximately 12 million years old.
This system is particularly interesting because it contains a large debris disk made up of dust and gas, indicating the presence of planets forming around the star. Astronomers have detected at least one confirmed exoplanet, Beta Pictoris b, which is a gas giant that orbits the star at a distance similar to that of Jupiter from the Sun.
