A star system is a group of celestial bodies that are bound together by gravity, typically centered around a star. The most common type of star system is a solar system, which includes a star and the planets, moons, asteroids, and comets that orbit it. Our own Solar System is an example, with the Sun at its center and eight planets, including Earth.
Star systems can vary in complexity. Some contain only one star, while others may have multiple stars, known as binary or multiple star systems. Additionally, many star systems have their own planets and other objects, making them unique and diverse in the universe.
