Berthe Morisot
Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was a French painter and a key figure in the Impressionist movement. She was known for her delicate brushwork and ability to capture light and atmosphere in her paintings. Morisot often focused on domestic life and the experiences of women, making her work both intimate and relatable.
Morisot was the only female artist to exhibit with the original group of Impressionists, which included notable figures like Claude Monet and Edgar Degas. She was also married to the brother of the famous painter Édouard Manet, further connecting her to the art world of her time.
