Beni Hasan Tombs
The Beni Hasan Tombs are a group of ancient Egyptian burial sites located in the Minya governorate, approximately 20 miles south of Cairo. Dating back to the Middle Kingdom, around 2000-1900 BCE, these tombs are carved into limestone cliffs and feature intricate wall paintings that depict daily life, hunting scenes, and religious rituals.
There are about 39 tombs in total, with the most notable belonging to high-ranking officials and nobles. The tombs showcase the artistic skills of the time and provide valuable insights into the culture, beliefs, and social structure of ancient Egypt.
