Bell Rock
Bell Rock is a famous lighthouse located off the coast of Scotland. Built in 1811 by engineer Robert Stevenson, it is one of the earliest examples of a rock lighthouse. The structure stands on a reef that is submerged at high tide, making it a significant engineering achievement of its time.
The lighthouse is situated near the entrance to the Firth of Forth and serves as a crucial navigational aid for ships. It is recognized for its distinctive red and white stripes, which help mariners identify it from a distance. Today, Bell Rock is a popular subject for maritime history enthusiasts.
