Bara Imambara is a historical monument located in Lucknow, India. Built in 1784 by the Nawab of Awadh, Asaf-ud-Daula, it served as a place for famine relief and is renowned for its impressive architecture. The complex features a large central hall, which is one of the largest arched constructions without support beams.
The structure is famous for its intricate design, including a maze known as the Bhool Bhulaiya. The Bara Imambara also houses the tomb of Asaf-ud-Daula and showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Awadhi region, attracting numerous visitors each year.
