Banyoro
The Banyoro are an ethnic group primarily found in the western region of Uganda. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes traditional music, dance, and crafts. The Banyoro speak the Runyoro language, which is part of the Bantu language family. Historically, they were ruled by the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom, one of the oldest kingdoms in Uganda.
The Banyoro people are primarily engaged in agriculture, growing crops such as cassava, maize, and bananas. They also raise livestock, including cattle, which hold significant cultural and economic value. The community places a strong emphasis on family and communal ties, reflecting their deep-rooted traditions and values.
