Baganda
The Baganda are the largest ethnic group in Uganda, primarily residing in the central region of the country, particularly around Lake Victoria. They speak the Luganda language and have a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional music, dance, and crafts. The Baganda are known for their strong social structure, which is organized around clans, each with its own unique history and customs.
The Baganda have a significant historical and political influence in Uganda. They were once ruled by a king, known as the Kabaka, who played a crucial role in the kingdom's governance and cultural identity. Today, the Baganda continue to celebrate their traditions while also participating in the modern political landscape of Uganda.
