Bank of Central African States
The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) is the central bank for six countries in Central Africa, including Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon. Established in 1972, its primary role is to manage the currency, ensure monetary stability, and oversee the banking system within the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).
BEAC issues the Central African CFA franc, which is used by its member states. The bank also aims to promote economic development and financial integration in the region, facilitating trade and investment among its member countries.
