Central African Economic and Monetary Community
The Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) is a regional organization established to promote economic integration and cooperation among its member states. Founded in 1994, CEMAC includes six countries: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea. The community aims to enhance trade, investment, and economic stability in the region.
CEMAC operates with a common currency, the CFA franc, which facilitates trade and economic activities among member countries. The organization also focuses on infrastructure development, harmonizing policies, and fostering a conducive environment for economic growth and development in Central Africa.
