B-vitamin
B-vitamins are a group of water-soluble vitamins that play essential roles in cell metabolism and energy production. There are eight B-vitamins, including B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin), B9 (folate), and B12 (cobalamin). Each of these vitamins contributes to various bodily functions, such as converting food into energy and supporting brain health.
These vitamins are commonly found in a variety of foods, including whole grains, meat, eggs, dairy products, legumes, seeds, and leafy greens. A balanced diet typically provides sufficient amounts of B-vitamins, but deficiencies can occur, leading to health issues like fatigue, anemia, and neurological problems.
