Audax Club Parisien
The Audax Club Parisien (ACP) is a French cycling organization founded in 1904. It is best known for promoting long-distance cycling events, particularly the famous Paris-Brest-Paris randonneur, which is a 1,200-kilometer ride held every four years. The club encourages cyclists of all levels to participate in endurance rides and fosters a spirit of camaraderie among its members.
The ACP is also responsible for establishing the rules and standards for randonneuring, a form of long-distance cycling that emphasizes self-sufficiency and personal challenge. Members can earn recognition through various challenges, including completing a series of brevets, which are timed long-distance rides.
