Arctic wolves
The Arctic wolf is a subspecies of the gray wolf, adapted to live in the harsh conditions of the Arctic tundra. They have thick, white fur that provides insulation against the cold and helps them blend into their snowy environment. These wolves primarily hunt in packs, preying on animals like caribou and arctic hares.
Arctic wolves are smaller than their gray wolf relatives, with adults typically weighing between 75 to 110 pounds. They have shorter ears and snouts, which help minimize heat loss. Their social structure is similar to other wolf species, with a strong emphasis on family bonds and cooperative hunting strategies.
