arctic hares
The arctic hare is a species of hare found in the cold regions of the Arctic, primarily in Greenland and parts of Canada. These hares are well-adapted to their harsh environment, with thick fur that changes color from brown in summer to white in winter, providing excellent camouflage against snow.
Arctic hares are social animals, often seen in groups, and they primarily feed on woody plants, mosses, and lichens. They have strong hind legs that allow them to run quickly to escape predators like arctic foxes and birds of prey. Their ability to survive in extreme cold makes them unique among hares.
