Arab Citizens of Israel
Arab citizens of Israel are individuals of Arab descent who hold Israeli citizenship. They make up about 20% of the country's population and primarily identify as Palestinians. This group includes various communities, such as Muslims, Christians, and Druze, each with its own cultural and religious practices.
Despite being citizens, Arab Israelis often face social and economic disparities compared to their Jewish counterparts. They have representation in the Knesset (Israeli parliament) and participate in various aspects of public life, but issues related to equality and integration remain significant challenges within Israeli society.
