Antpittas
Antpittas are medium-sized birds belonging to the family Grallariidae, primarily found in the tropical forests of Central and South America. They are known for their round bodies, short tails, and long legs, which help them navigate through dense underbrush. Antpittas are often elusive and prefer to stay hidden, making them a challenge for birdwatchers to spot.
These birds primarily feed on insects, worms, and other small invertebrates found on the forest floor. Antpittas are also known for their distinctive calls, which vary among species. Some well-known species include the Rufous Antpitta and the Giant Antpitta.
