Antonio Salandra
Antonio Salandra was an Italian politician and statesman, born on August 13, 1853, in Foggia, Italy. He served as the Prime Minister of Italy from 1914 to 1916 during a critical period leading up to and during World War I. Salandra was a member of the Italian Liberal Party and played a significant role in Italy's decision to enter the war.
As Prime Minister, Salandra focused on military and economic reforms to prepare Italy for conflict. His government faced challenges, including internal political divisions and public opposition to the war. Salandra resigned in 1916, but his leadership during the early war years left a lasting impact on Italy's political landscape.
