Italian Liberal Party
The Italian Liberal Party (Partito Liberale Italiano, PLI) was a political party in Italy founded in 1922. It aimed to promote liberalism, advocating for individual freedoms, free markets, and limited government intervention. The party played a significant role in Italian politics, especially during the post-World War II period, when it was part of various coalition governments.
The PLI experienced a decline in influence during the late 20th century, particularly after the rise of other political movements. It eventually dissolved in 1994, with many of its members joining other parties. Despite its dissolution, the party's legacy continues to influence liberal thought in Italy.
