Antonio Luna
Antonio Luna was a prominent Filipino general during the Philippine-American War. Born on October 29, 1866, in Batangas, he was known for his fierce patriotism and military skills. Luna studied in Spain and earned a degree in pharmacy, but he later dedicated his life to fighting for Philippine independence from American colonization.
Luna was also a key figure in the establishment of the Philippine Army and was known for his strict discipline and innovative tactics. Despite his contributions, he faced internal conflicts within the Philippine Revolutionary Government, which ultimately led to his assassination on June 5, 1899.
