Antike
Antike, or "Antiquity," refers to the ancient period of history, particularly the civilizations of Greece and Rome. This era is characterized by significant developments in art, philosophy, politics, and science. It spans from around 3000 BCE to the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 CE, marking a time of great cultural and intellectual achievements.
The study of Antike includes notable figures such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle in philosophy, as well as Homer in literature. Architectural marvels like the Parthenon and the Colosseum exemplify the engineering prowess of these civilizations. Antike laid the foundation for many aspects of modern Western culture.
