Anthony Provenzano
Anthony Provenzano was an American mobster associated with the Genovese crime family. He was born on December 20, 1917, in New Jersey and became known for his involvement in organized crime during the mid-20th century. Provenzano was also a union leader, which allowed him to exert influence over labor unions and engage in various illegal activities.
Provenzano was convicted of several crimes, including racketeering and conspiracy. He was implicated in the infamous Apalachin Meeting of 1957, which brought together various mob leaders. Provenzano's criminal activities led to his imprisonment, and he died in 1988 while serving his sentence.
