Anna Maria of Saxe-Weimar
Anna Maria of Saxe-Weimar was a German noblewoman born in 1572. She was the daughter of John II, Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Dorothea of Denmark. Anna Maria became the Duchess of Saxe-Weimar through her marriage to William IV, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel in 1590, strengthening political ties between their families.
Throughout her life, Anna Maria was known for her piety and support of the arts. She played a significant role in the cultural development of her region, promoting education and the establishment of institutions. Anna Maria passed away in 1610, leaving a lasting legacy in her community.
