Andes mountains
The Andes Mountains are the longest mountain range in the world, stretching over 4,300 miles along the western edge of South America. They run through seven countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. The range is known for its diverse ecosystems, from tropical rainforests to high-altitude deserts.
The Andes are home to many unique species of plants and animals, as well as indigenous cultures. The mountains also contain some of the highest peaks in the world, including Aconcagua, which stands at 22,841 feet, making it the tallest mountain in the Americas.
