Amur tigers
The Amur tiger, also known as the Siberian tiger, is a subspecies native to the forests of the Russian Far East and parts of China. It is the largest tiger subspecies, characterized by its thick fur, which helps it survive in cold climates. Amur tigers typically weigh between 400 to 600 pounds and can reach lengths of up to 10 feet, including their tails.
These tigers are solitary animals, primarily hunting at night. Their diet mainly consists of large prey such as deer and wild boar. Due to habitat loss and poaching, the Amur tiger is classified as endangered, with conservation efforts underway to protect their population and habitat.
