Amidah
The Amidah, also known as the Shemoneh Esrei, is a central prayer in Jewish liturgy. It consists of a series of blessings recited while standing, reflecting themes of praise, petition, and gratitude. Traditionally, it is performed three times a day: during the morning (Shacharit), afternoon (Mincha), and evening (Ma'ariv) services.
The Amidah is structured into three sections: the first three blessings focus on praising God, the middle section contains requests for personal and communal needs, and the final three blessings express gratitude. This prayer is a key component of Jewish worship and is often recited silently, followed by a communal repetition by the leader.
