Ambedkar
B.R. Ambedkar was an Indian social reformer, jurist, and politician born on April 14, 1891. He is best known for his role in drafting the Constitution of India and advocating for the rights of the marginalized, particularly the Dalits, who faced discrimination under the caste system. Ambedkar's efforts aimed to promote social equality and justice in India.
Ambedkar was also a prominent advocate for women's rights and education. He converted to Buddhism in 1956, encouraging many of his followers to do the same as a means of escaping the caste system. His legacy continues to inspire movements for social justice and equality in India and beyond.
