Amasis I
Amasis I was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who ruled during the 26th Dynasty, around 570 to 526 BCE. He is known for his efforts to restore Egypt's power and stability after a period of foreign rule. Amasis I established a strong central government and promoted trade, which helped to revitalize the economy.
He is also recognized for his contributions to art and architecture, commissioning several temples and monuments. Amasis I's reign marked a time of cultural flourishing, and he is often associated with the city of Sais, which became an important religious and political center during his rule.
