Alexander I of Greece
Alexander I of Greece was a Greek king who reigned from 1917 until his death in 1920. He was born on August 1, 1893, and was the son of King Constantine I of Greece and Queen Sophia of Greece. His reign was marked by Greece's involvement in World War I, during which he supported the Allies.
During his rule, Alexander I faced political challenges and internal strife. He is known for his efforts to modernize the Greek military and for his role in the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922). Alexander I died on April 25, 1920, due to an infection from a monkey bite.
