Al-Khazneh, also known as the Treasury, is a famous archaeological site located in Petra, Jordan. It is carved into a sandstone cliff and is renowned for its stunning Hellenistic architecture, featuring intricate facades and ornate details. The structure stands approximately 40 meters high and 25 meters wide, making it one of the most iconic landmarks in the region.
Originally believed to be a royal tomb, Al-Khazneh dates back to the 1st century AD and is thought to have been built by the Nabataeans, an ancient Arab tribe.
