Ahl al-Sunnah
Ahl al-Sunnah, often referred to as Sunnis, represents the largest branch of Islam. They follow the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith and emphasize the importance of the Qur'an. Sunnis believe in the consensus of the community and the leadership of the Caliphs after the Prophet's death.
Sunnis are characterized by their adherence to the Sunni schools of thought, which include Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali. These schools provide guidance on various aspects of life, including law, theology, and ethics. The unity of the Ummah (Muslim community) is a central tenet for Ahl al-Sunnah.
