Aghdam District
The Aghdam District is located in the Azerbaijan region of the Karabakh area. It was once a thriving city known for its cultural heritage and agricultural production. However, the district suffered significant destruction during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the 1990s, leading to a large-scale displacement of its population.
Today, Aghdam is largely uninhabited, with many of its buildings in ruins. The district is often referred to as a ghost town, symbolizing the impact of war on communities. Efforts for reconstruction and revitalization are ongoing, as the region seeks to recover from its troubled past.
