Africanized Bees
Africanized Bees, often called "killer bees," are a hybrid of African honeybees and European honeybees. They were first introduced to Brazil in the 1950s and have since spread throughout the Americas. These bees are known for their aggressive behavior and tendency to swarm more frequently than their European counterparts.
Despite their reputation, Africanized Bees play a crucial role in pollination, just like other bee species. They can adapt to various environments and are often more resilient to diseases. However, their aggressive nature can pose risks to humans and animals, making caution important when encountering them.
