African Conflicts
African conflicts refer to various wars, civil wars, and disputes that have occurred across the continent, often driven by factors such as ethnic tensions, political instability, and competition for resources. Notable examples include the Rwandan Genocide in 1994 and the ongoing conflict in South Sudan, which have resulted in significant loss of life and displacement of people.
These conflicts can also be influenced by colonial legacies, where borders drawn by colonial powers did not reflect the diverse ethnic groups in the region. International involvement, such as from the United Nations or regional organizations like the African Union, often aims to mediate and resolve these disputes, but challenges remain in achieving lasting peace.
