Afghan Army
The Afghan Army, officially known as the Afghan National Army (ANA), was established in 2002 following the fall of the Taliban regime. It was created to provide security and stability in Afghanistan and to defend the country against internal and external threats. The ANA was supported by international forces, particularly from NATO, to help train and equip its soldiers.
The Afghan Army consisted of various branches, including infantry, artillery, and special forces. Over the years, it faced numerous challenges, including issues with recruitment, training, and morale. In August 2021, the ANA collapsed as the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, leading to significant changes in the country's security landscape.
