Adivasis
Adivasis, also known as Indigenous or tribal people in India, are the original inhabitants of the land. They have distinct cultures, languages, and traditions that vary across different regions. Adivasis often live in forested areas and rely on agriculture, hunting, and gathering for their livelihoods.
The term "Adivasi" encompasses various tribes, such as the Santhal, Gond, and Bhils, each with unique customs and practices. Despite their rich heritage, Adivasis face challenges like land displacement and loss of cultural identity due to modernization and development projects. Efforts are being made to protect their rights and promote their welfare.
