Adelheid von Schlesien
Adelheid von Schlesien was a notable historical figure born around 1025 in Silesia, a region in present-day Poland. She was the daughter of Duke Bolesław I of Poland and became a significant figure in the political landscape of medieval Europe through her marriage to Duke Henry the Proud of Bavaria.
Her marriage strengthened ties between the Polish and Bavarian nobility. Adelheid was also the mother of several influential children, including Henry the Lion, who became a prominent duke in Saxony and Bavaria. Her legacy is reflected in the political alliances formed during her lifetime.
