Adansonia Digitata
Adansonia digitata, commonly known as the baobab tree, is a large, deciduous tree native to Africa. It is easily recognizable by its thick trunk and unique, bulbous shape, which can store water to survive in arid conditions. The tree can grow up to 30 meters tall and live for over a thousand years.
The baobab produces large, white flowers that bloom at night and are pollinated by bats. Its fruit, often referred to as "monkey bread," is rich in vitamin C and has a tangy flavor. The tree is culturally significant in many African communities, often symbolizing life and resilience.
