Adam's Peak
Adam's Peak, also known as Sri Pada, is a prominent mountain located in central Sri Lanka. It stands at 2,243 meters (7,358 feet) and is famous for its distinctive conical shape. The mountain is a significant pilgrimage site for multiple religions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity, each attributing spiritual importance to its summit.
At the top of Adam's Peak, there is a rock formation that resembles a footprint, believed by many to be that of Buddha, Shiva, or Adam, depending on the faith. The peak is particularly popular for sunrise treks, attracting thousands of visitors each year who seek to witness the breathtaking views from its summit.
