Acholi sub-region
The Acholi sub-region is located in northern Uganda and is known for its rich cultural heritage and agricultural activities. It comprises several districts, including Gulu, Amuru, and Nwoya. The region is predominantly inhabited by the Acholi people, who have a strong tradition of music, dance, and storytelling.
Historically, the Acholi sub-region has faced challenges, particularly during the Lord's Resistance Army conflict, which affected many communities. Today, efforts are being made to rebuild and promote peace, with a focus on education, health, and economic development to improve the quality of life for its residents.
