Abbas I of Persia
Abbas I of Persia, also known as Abbas the Great, ruled from 1588 to 1629 and is considered one of the most significant monarchs of the Safavid dynasty. He is known for his military successes, which expanded the Persian Empire and strengthened its borders against the Ottoman Empire and Mughal Empire.
Under his leadership, the capital was moved to Isfahan, which he transformed into a cultural and architectural hub. Abbas I promoted trade, arts, and architecture, leading to a flourishing of Persian culture during his reign. His policies helped establish a centralized state and improved the economy of Persia.
