龙舌兰
龙舌兰, or agave, is a succulent plant native to the hot and arid regions of Mexico and the southwestern United States. It is known for its rosette shape and thick, spiky leaves. There are over 200 species of agave, but the most famous is 蓝色龙舌兰, which is used to produce 龙舌兰酒 (tequila).
The plant takes several years to mature, often between 7 to 14 years, before it can be harvested. The heart of the plant, called the piña, is cooked and fermented to create 龙舌兰酒. Besides its use in beverages, agave is also valued for its fibers and as a natural sweetener.
