野兽派
“野兽派” (Fauvism) is an early 20th-century art movement characterized by bold colors and simplified forms. Originating in France, it was led by artists like 亨利·马蒂斯 (Henri Matisse) and 安德烈·德兰 (André Derain). The term "Fauvism" comes from the French word for "wild beasts," reflecting the movement's vibrant and expressive style.
Fauvism emphasized painterly qualities and strong color over the representational or realistic values retained by Impressionism. The movement was short-lived, lasting from around 1905 to 1910, but it significantly influenced modern art, paving the way for later movements such as 立体主义 (Cubism) and 抽象艺术 (Abstract Art).
