大仏殿
大仏殿 (Daibutsuden), or the Great Buddha Hall, is a significant structure located in 奈良 (Nara), 日本 (Japan). It houses the famous 大仏 (Great Buddha), a massive bronze statue of 阿弥陀仏 (Amitabha Buddha). The hall itself is one of the largest wooden buildings in the world and is part of the 東大寺 (Todai-ji) temple complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Constructed in the 8th century, 大仏殿 has undergone several reconstructions due to fires and natural disasters. The current building, completed in 1709, is about two-thirds the size of the original. Visitors come to admire the impressive architecture and the serene atmosphere, making it a popular destination for both tourists and pilgrims.
