كاماكورا شوجunate
كاماكورا شوجunate was a military government in Japan that lasted from 1185 to 1333. It marked the beginning of the Feudal Era in Japan, where power shifted from the imperial court to the samurai class. The shogunate was established by Minamoto no Yoritomo after his victory in the Genpei War.
The government was centered in Kamakura, a city near modern-day Tokyo. The shogunate implemented a system of daimyōs (feudal lords) who governed various regions, maintaining order and loyalty to the shogun. This period laid the foundation for future military governments in Japan, influencing its political landscape for centuries.
