Сармати
Сармати, or the Sarmatians, were an ancient group of Iranian nomadic tribes that inhabited the region north of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. They emerged around the 5th century BCE and were known for their horse-riding skills and warrior culture. The Sarmatians played a significant role in the history of Eastern Europe, often interacting with neighboring peoples such as the Scythians and the Romans.
The Sarmatians were characterized by their unique burial practices, which included elaborate tombs and grave goods. They were also known for their distinctive art and craftsmanship, particularly in metalwork. Over time, the Sarmatians assimilated with other cultures, contributing to the formation of new ethnic groups in the region.
