Λευί
Λευί, or Levi, is one of the twelve tribes of Israel in the Hebrew Bible. He is the third son of Jacob and Leah. The tribe of Λευί is known for its special role in religious duties, as its members, the Levites, were designated to serve in the Temple and perform sacred rituals.
The Levites did not receive a specific territory like the other tribes; instead, they were given cities scattered throughout Canaan. This arrangement allowed them to focus on their spiritual responsibilities, including teaching the Torah and leading worship. The tribe of Λευί holds a significant place in Jewish history and tradition.
