Tribes of Israel
The Tribes of Israel are the twelve groups traditionally descended from the twelve sons of Jacob, also known as Israel. Each tribe played a significant role in the history and culture of the ancient Israelites, contributing to the formation of the nation of Israel.
These tribes include Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. Each tribe was allocated a specific territory in the Promised Land, and they collectively formed the foundation of the Israelite community, influencing religious and social structures throughout history.
